Charm packs are one of the most popular precut quilting fabrics for good reason. The versatile size makes it a great starting point for quilt patterns. The 5″ precut squares are so popular, that many pattern designers create patterns to work with the precut squares.
I’ve compiled a list of 40 free charm pack quilt patterns to help you bust through your stash of precut fabric! Each of these patterns are beginner friendly and I’ve included video tutorials where I could!

1. Charming Sawtooth by Hailey Stitches
Charming Sawtooth is my most popular quilt pattern and it’s easy to see why! This simple quilt is made from just one charm pack and one yard of background fabric. It’s also low-waste, which means it uses every last square in the charm pack and nearly all of the yardage it calls for.

2. Bunting by Hailey Stitches
Bunting is made up entirely of half square triangles and is set on point. Don’t let the on point setting scare you!

3. Charming Diamonds by Hailey Stitches
Charming Diamonds is a free quilt pattern that uses one charm pack and 3 yards of background fabric. The 68″ x 68″ size makes it a great large throw that can be made in just a day.

4. Charming Four Patch by Hailey Stitches
Charming Four Patch is an excellent quilt for beginners. It teaches basic skills like cutting, chain piecing and nesting seams.
The pattern comes in two sizes: baby and small throw.

8. Oh My Stars by Pat Sloan
